Some of those concerns were raised by you commenting on our Facebook page Save Avery Hill Winter Gardens.
The University met with us and agreed that we could invite a very limited number of local representatives to raise questions at the meeting. They were not willing to engage with a public meeting until the Mansion Site had been formally placed on the market. Consequently, we expect to be able to announce a public meeting in the very near future. Until then, here are a few important points that came out of that meeting:

I have lived in Avery Hill for thirty seven years. I took my children to the winter gardens when they were small. At that time, it was very well kept and the plants were well looked after. Unfortunately, that isn't the case now, I have taken my grandchildren to the winter gardens which they enjoyed, albeit that they too, were sad that it wasn't being looked after. I still go myself but also sad that it has been left to deteriorate . I hope that the winter gardens can be saved and returned to the splendour that it once was.
